Dave Schoendorf is the founder of American Community Builders, bringing nearly four decades of experience in development and construction leadership. He began his career at Pace Construction, an open-shop subsidiary of the Henry C. Beck Company, following internships with The Trammell Crow Company and Pace Construction prior to graduating from college.
In 1987, Dave joined RJ Griffin and Company in its early years and advanced rapidly from Assistant Project Manager to Senior Project Manager. As the firm expanded from $20 million to over $800 million in annual revenue, Dave helped establish the Group Vice President role, overseeing multiple project teams and serving as a primary client representative. He was later promoted to Atlanta Division Manager, with responsibility for more than $300 million in annual revenue and operations across the Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah markets.
Throughout his career, Dave has led projects across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, assisted living, retail, religious and educational facilities, multifamily (both high-rise and wood-frame), hospitality, office, data centers, parking structures, and sports venues.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Technology from Eastern Michigan University and continues to serve the community through volunteer work with organizations such as the United Service Organizations, Serve Ministries International, Murphy-Harpst Academy for Youth, and Habitat for Humanity.
